No os he hablado antes de esta increible diseñadora, no porque no me guste, soy super fan de Donna Wilson, es que sé que lo tenéis todo muy visto, es lo que tiene el éxito. Ahora ha sacado algunas cositas nuevas y como ya os habréis dado cuenta, también os he colado algunas antiguas, pero es que son tan bonitas…

I´ve never before told you about the amazing designer Donna Wilson, not because I don´t like her work, because I love it, that´s only because you´ve seen it too much on the net, that what happen when you are so successful. Now, she has some new things and as you would have already noticed, I have take some former pictures too, but they are so nice, I couldn´t avoid it.

Droog

Las fotografías que habéis visto son del showroom que tiene en Amsterdam la firma de diseño Droog. Me pasé por allí por recomendación de Cecilia de Vinil-able, así que muchas gracias de nuevo a Cecilia y a todos los que me dejasteis en el blog recomendaciones para el viaje, me han sido muy útiles.

Droog cuenta con un espacio enorme donde puedes encontrar algunas cosas muy curiosas, como esa lámpara de diente de león que habéis visto en la tercera imagen, azúcar de colores, el colgante cuchara que veis también por ahí, bueno, montones de cosas. Y además está en un barrio precioso, justo al lado de un canal. Así que merece la pena visitarlo.

The pictures you´ve seen, belong to the showroom which the design firm Droog has in Amsterdam. I went there because of a recommendation of Cecilia de Vinil-able, so thanks again to Cecilia and thanks to those who let in the blog recommendations for my trip, they were very useful.

Droog has a large space where you can find some curious things, like this dandelion lamp you can see in the third picture, colored sugar, the spoon necklace… lots of things. Therefore, it´s in a beautiful neighborhood, right next to a canal. So worth the visit.

The Makers

The Makers es un proyecto que documenta mediante imágenes y entrevistas el trabajo de personas que desarrollan algún tipo de producto de forma artesana en la zona de Manhattan.

Podéis encontrar desde artistas plásticos, hasta panaderos, pasando por diseñadores de joyas y moda, unos hermanos que hacen un chocolate con muy buena pinta, perfumistas, ceramistas, hay de todo. Y todo, documentado con unas imágenes estupendas, por Jennifer Causey. Me parece una idea genial, me encanta este proyecto.

The Makers is a project that research with pictures and interviews the work and products that people in the Manhattan area develop in a handcrafter and artisanal way.

You can find here from artist, bakers, jewelry and fashion designers, till two brothers who
made a chocolate that looks great, perfumers, ceramists… there is everything.

And all this documented by several great images, which belong to Jennifer Causey. I think it´s a great idea, I love this project.
